eCommerce/Front-End Web Developer

Role Details

Salary: £23-27k, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours p/week
Based: Hoults Yard, Newcastle
Start: ASAP

Key Requirements

  • Managing all our eCommerce websites across different platforms (mainly Shopify) as well as planning and creating new sites we want to launch.
  • Working closely with our digital design and marketing colleagues to build mobile-first e-commerce stores on the Shopify platform.
  • Planning and migrating our existing eCommerce sites over to Shopify.
  • Managing other non-eCommerce sites and other digital assets we have within the group.
  • Collaborating and sharing ideas with the rest of our digital team to further our collective knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience using HTML, CSS, PHP, Shopify and WordPress.
  • Have a good knowledge of best web performance practices, developing for accessibility, usability and SEO.
  • Experience with cross browser and device testing tools.
  • Confident working within agile team environments including Scrum/Kanban.
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce web development.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating relevant ability and experience.
  • Every project in CV/portfolio should include: project and challenge description, your role and solution.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Managing all our digital marketing activity and growing them 5-10x over the next 12 months with a firm focus on return on investment.
  • Creating, managing and analysing our acquisition marketing campaigns across all online channels.
  • Demonstrable experience of using Facebook Ads, Affiliate Marketing, PPC/SEO (Google & Amazon) to grow product-based businesses.
  • Using data analysis, A/B testing and customer feedback to devise improvements to our websites/marketing materials, and working with our design/development teams to implement your ideas.
  • Analysing and reporting on campaigns daily.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical ability.
  • Excellent commercial & negotiation skills.
  • Understand customer acquisition costs, return on ad spend, benchmarking and how these are crucial to data-led businesses.
  • Be entrepreneurial and seek out opportunities and partnerships to further grow each of our websites.
  • To come up with your own ideas as well as having the confidence and ability to implement them.
